The Berezdivin Collection at espacio 1414, sponsored by Kress Stores of Puerto Rico, opened its doors to the general public in January 2005, as part of its efforts in con-tributing to the development of visual arts in Puerto Rico. The collection, initially focused on contemporary art from Latin America, has recently diversified in order to better cover the wide range of practices and discursive complexities of international contemporary art. Aside from displaying its works to the public espacio 1414 hopes to become an active platform for the diffusion of contemporary art through its exhibition and educational programs.
